Taking the Show on the Road
Companies Working Together
"The Hottest Issues in Workers' Compensation" brought out about 170 employers recently to participate in a roundtable discussion sponsored by five companies.
Showing the teamwork that Georgia is noted for, the companies work to improve knowledge about workers' compensation. Their efforts also result in excellent networking opportunities.
This is the sixth year of planning the Roadshows which are held three times a year. The Roadshow was held at Maggiano's in Buckhead.
An impressive panel from the Georgia State Board of Workers' Compensation was moderated by Mark J. Goodman, Esq., of Swift, Currie, McGhee and Hiers, LLP.
The roundtable discussion covered the new Integrated Claims Management System (see updated report in the Spring 2006 edition of Georgia1st.com), new work comp forms, the value of mediations, how to prepare for a hearing, fraud and compliance issues and an opportunity to ask questions.
