Information, Ideas
Teamwork is a familiar phrase. It exemplifies cooperation, shared information and an agreement on reaching the highest and best goals of an organization. It is a word that is tossed around quite a bit, but unless the concept is embraced by all parties in a given venture, it is just a word.
In workers' compensation there are many views, ideas, professional perspectives and legal changes of course that can challenge the idea of teamwork but in our region of the country we are seeing an effort to bring the best ideas forward.
At the recent Florida Workers' Compensation Educational Conference there was a multi-state workers' compensation breakout session, moderated by Kathy Oliver, Deputy COO of the Georgia State Board.
A similar session was part of the Georgia State Board of Workers' Compensation conference. Thanks to the internet and wireless communications, we are all entering a new era. By taking a proactive approach we can work to provide the best service to the injured worker.
