Physicians at Pain Solutions Treatment Centers have treated tens of thousands of patients over the last decade (nearly 9,000 surgical procedures were performed in 2007 alone) and the doctors have a combined medical experience of over 100 years. So it is not surprising that the new home of the practice would be an impressive three story, state-of-the-art facility providing the latest in equipment and treatment programs. "We are really pleased the way the facility has turned out," said David Fragale, RN, Director of Clinical Development.

"We worked hard to create an atmosphere where patients feel comfortable and can receive the non-surgical treatment they require to return to their lives and their work," Fragale told Georgia1st. "Our goal is to determine an accurate diagnosis for each patient, treat the cause of their pain and return them to work as soon as possible," he added.

Pain Solutions Treatment Centers has a full time workers' compensation specialist, Amy Sasser, Certified Workers' Compensation Professional (CWCP) who works directly with adjusters and case managers to coordinate the treatment plan. "We believe that we are accountable to those who entrust us to a case," Fragale emphasized.

All of the physician staff are Board Certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Management and follow the Pain Solutions Treatment Centers' philosophy of "an active, progressive approach to pain management, that combines specialized procedures, targeted physical therapy, behavior modification and carefully planned medication." The practice philosophy also requires patient involvement in their own treatment plan. The medical staff includes two Board Certified Physician Assistants and two Board Certified Nurse Practitioners. There are also fourteen RNs, two LPNs and eight CNAs on staff.

The team has one goal in mind according to Fragale: "We believe that if we see the patient as quickly as possible following their injury we can most effectively initiate a treatment program that returns the individual to work." He indicated that, in many cases, patients diagnosed and treated immediately after their injury often are able to avoid surgery.

In addition to the new headquarters in Marietta, Pain Solutions Treatment Centers are also located in Woodstock and Cartersville. There is also an Ambulatory Surgical Center in Cartersville.

"Our ongoing effort in the workers' compensation industry is to communicate our approach to pain management as one that is focused on rapid response, accurate diagnosis and a treatment program that emphasizes return to work," Fragale concluded.
