Conference Dates Set for 2009
GSIA
The Georgia Self Insurance Association (GSIA) will hold its annual spring conference May 13-15, 2009. After a one year change of venue to Chattanooga, TN, for the 2008 conference, the event will return to the Savannah Marriott Hotel.
The conference is a looked-forward to meeting that covers the industry while providing an opportunity for attendees to meet and network. Watch Georgia1st.com for updates .

Georgia State Board Regional Workshops
The Georgia State Board of Workers' Compensation's Training Manager, Hilary Williams has announced the dates for the 2009 Regional Workshops.
The annual rite of spring travels around the state to provide updates on workers' compensation. The well-attended workshops are also fun, as members of the state board seek to not only make the sessions informative, but fun as well.
So mark your calendars for these Fridays in the spring:
-- April 17 - Dalton, at the NW Georgia Trade & Convention Center.
-- May 1- Columbus, at the Hilton Garden Inn - Columbus.
-- May 8 - Atlanta, at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel.
-- May 22 - Valdosta, at the Valdosta - Lowndes County
Atlanta Claims Association
The Atlanta Claims Association will hold its annual conference April 15-17 at the Gwinnett Center. The theme this year is "ACA - Harbor of Excellence". Already, vendors have been booking the hospitality suites, although letters aren’t going out until December.
Planners expect a record number of exhibitors. The conference hotel is the Hampton Inn with backup opportunities at the nearby Holiday Inn and the Homewood Suites.
The chair of the convention is Esther Powers (770-671-2591). Hospitality suite chair is Candice Kirkpatrick (770-813-7657) and Joan White will be in charge of exhibitors (770-442-1317).
Georgia State Board Annual Conference
The annual state conference will be held Aug. 30-Sept. 1, 2009. It is early for details, but watch for more information in the coming months.
